Sunlit Bark

A lazy-ish start to the day - after the exertions of the last four days. A late breakfast - 8 a.m. (!) then a trip to the bank to pay in the weekend takings and then on to the studio. All the fabric was unpacked and restacked on the shelves and all the tables, stands and racking that we used was stashed away in the roof void above the classroom.

I stayed for lunch and then came home for an afternoon appointment at the medical centre - my annual health / medication review. I had a blood sample taken a couple of weeks ago and the results for that all came back normal (phew). Blood pressure checked out ok (very surprised at that) - so I am signed off for another year! Also had a pneumonia jab - which b****y hurts even now! A real burning feeling in my upper arm…

Then a walk with Finlay in the woods in the lovely warm sunshine. I spotted this piece of broken tree (peeled back bark) which had been highlighted by a shaft of light. I thought it had nice textures and tones. We were spotted by a couple of inquisitive horses (see extra)

Slowly catching up with blip journals - bear with me…
