The Square Route

This is the Cubeus Centre which has grown out of the redevelopment of the the old Boldon colliery in Gateshead north east England , better known as Geordie Land.
The site that this building stands on used to be an old coalmine and doesnt it look so much better .
At the front of the building , pictured here , is a fishing lake that would have been unheard of in the areas hayday.
Regeneration has a lot of good points and is certainly pleasing to the eye and only goes to show , that with a little immagination and investment , a lot of good can come out of what used to be a life threatening indusrty.
Personally i think it looks as if two Borg cubes are having a good time , but hey who am i to judge . Remember "RESISTANCE IS FUTILE !!!!"
