Dangerous Sticky Fatal Basic Murdery Attraction
My Dear Princess & Dear Fellows,
This is my office building. As you can see, you don't have to go very far from it to end up in trees and a park. I like that. The park surrounds our adjacent parliament buildings. I keep wondering if I'll see Jacinda in my lunch break. I wonder if she likes to sit outside while she eats her chips too?
This week has felt quite long. It is a relief to be finally Friday, especially since I'm planning on using this weekend to veg out with Caro and the cats after the adventures of last weekend.
It is my intention to put on lots of two-word title thrillers from the 80's and 90's. Caro LOVES these. You know the sort of thing. Thrillers wherein women with huge haircuts and wearing stockings have RUDE sex in unusual places with Bruce Willis/Richard Gere/Michael Douglas/Kevin Costner/David Caruso.
There's usually a lot of suspicion and a horrible murder and in a shock twist you find out that ACTUALLY the murderer isn't Jeff Bridges at all but in fact it is Cher's evil twin sister who is suffering from both amnesia AND a split personality!
These films nearly always have two-word titles because it makes them sound more dramatic. "Bad Influence" or "Unlawful Entry" or "Final Analysis" or "Body Heat".
However, we are right now watching "Colour of Night" which stars Bruce Willis. I've never seen this one before. I asked Caro if she had seen it.
CARO: I don't remember seeing it before.
ME: He plays a psychiatrist who gets involved in murder.
CARO: Does he do a full frontal in this film?
ME: I think so.
CARO: I remember THAT.
ME: You don't remember the film, but you remember the willy?
CARO: I'm only human.
It's a shame they don't make these sorts of films any more. They are a lot of fun. Sadly they were replaced by films about serial killers getting involved in a clever game of cat-and-mouse with women profilers. Who also wore stockings and had big haircuts.
Maybe next weekend we'll watch a few of those.
