Essay Grading Completed

This huge task is done! All four classes of in-class essays are now graded. Many of these essays were quite rewarding to read. They had to write about what they gained this semester and how that happened. Many of them wrote that they've never worked so hard in their whole lives, but then they added that they've never learned so much in any class as they have in this one. I always hope they make the connect between investment and dividend.

I have a few odds and ends to finish, but overall this fall semester is coming rapidly to a conclusion. Tomorrow morning I report to the Writing Center for two hours of duty during finals week. Then Tuesday I meet all four classes for a few brief moments to collect their "take home" final, which is not a graded document. It is simply one paragraph of advice that they are to compose for future students who will take the class. I don't think they realize that it is not graded; they just never ask and I don't explain that it's not graded.

Well, I'm pooped! It's time to get some sleep.
