A long journey up to Lincoln today, made almost an hour worse because of an accident on the section of A14 between Cambridge and Huntingdon. However, when we did arrive and join up with Gaby, after a spot of lunch, we dived into the shopping action and then made our way up Steep Hill to the cathedral and castle.
Up the top, the Bavarian style Christmas Market was in full swing, with many tens of thousands of people milling around the one-way pedestrian system they had to alleviate the inevitable body-jams that would occur. There were probably too many there to be able to enjoy it properly, especially as it would be so easy to become detached from your party in a fraction of a second, so taking pictures with one hand holding Emma's was a little challenging. Hence there are but a few usable ones including this of the big wheel and roundabout, installed just for the Christmas Market.
We didn't have time to visit the Medieval market near the Bishop's Palace, but it sounded fun. We eventually arrived home gone ten o'clock, hungry and thirsty.
