Greenwich .....
...Old Naval College viewed from the top of the hill by the Observatory and on a clear day. A terrific view.
We took the MG for a drive and parked on Blackheath, enjoying a brisk walk across the heath to the park and this viewpoint. Lots of others doing the same thing today!
Then down the hill into Greenwich Village where we found the open air Vintage Market then the Crafts and Food indoor market. Just like a mini Camden and Borough Market and a great atmosphere. So many foods from different countries!
When by the river, one has to walk along the river even if only for a short distance. We walked to The Trafalgar pub, a great eating place, but we didn't today, and then back through the park, across the heath to the car.
My extras show the Trafalgar Tavern with Nelson standing proudly outside, and some gorgeous skirts from the market. I now have one myself.
Tonight we are going to a fund raising quiz night for HHA, formerly Haiti Hospital Appeal, now Health Hope Action. Fish and chip supper at half time.
It's been so good to receive frequent pictures of Esmee! She kept her mummy up for a long time last night before falling asleep. Tomorrow she will meet her cousins. A very special time atm.
