Hendrika the Bike

Meet Hendrika! My new bike, named after a character from a book I loved as a child called 'The Cow Who Fell into the Canal'. I thought the name was appropriately Dutch for my Dutch-style bike! Plus Hendrika had adventures floating through Holland, and I hope the same will be true for my Hendrika!

I rode into work for the first time today and only nearly died once! (Which is once less than yesterday! Pretty soon I might be completing the journey with little or no risk to life and limb!) The complicating factor is definitely being on the wrong side of the road. But despite the hazards, it really does make everything a lot more possible here.

Tomorrow's challenge: Get a Christmas tree home on Hendrika!
