Sinterklaasavond!

As promised, a Christmas tree on a bike!! Sadly, the bike is not Hendrika and the rider is not me, but my friend, Alice. I was the kamikaze cyclist riding beside her snapping shots on my iPhone!

Christmas tree acquisition was imperative today, however. It's Sinterklaasavond here - the eve of the feast of St Nicholas, when the children traditionally get their presents in shoes and socks left by the fire. Spotted lots of Sinterklaases delivering presents on the way home and crowds of cheery people waving to them through windows!

Then it was home to homemade Glüwein, Christmas tree decorating and pizza with a bunch of lovely intern friends who trekked out to our flat despite the revolting weather!
