European Baguette Holder!

My wait is finally over and I received notification today that my Workcycles GR8 is due to leave the workshop in Amsterdam today and I am expecting it to be here by the end of the week. It's funny as I've been waiting for about 7 weeks without thinking much about it but now I know that it is nearly here, I can hardly contain myself

I have spent the best part of 2 years looking for the perfect upright bicycle but being on the short side, I couldn't find one that fitted me. Then thanks to Youtube, I found Dottie and her Omafiets whih lead me to Workcycles - a company that builds gorgeous, paractical, upright bikes and owned by an American living in Amsterdam. They really do have some beautiful machines in their product portfolio. Originally I was going to get an Omafiets (quite literally Granny Bike) but I fell in love with the GR8 as soon as I saw it. It actually has a double meaning (double dutch??) in English it reads as Great, which it certainly is however if I were a native Dutch speaker, I would read it as Gracht which means Canal so it is a Canal bike.

I am pretty sure that I can going to devote some future blips to my new girls!
