best laid plans!!
I did not manage to take the first tentative steps in establishing an "early birds" running club due to the snowfall overnight. I was majorly disappointed however I am not going to let it dampen my spirits and I will continue to get up and do it at least one day a week. Perhaps a Thursday will the best day to arrange this as the sports centre doesn't open until 0900 which is definitely not an early bird time.
Enjoyed a wee faux 'RPM' session on the treadmill. I followed the same format: warm up-pace-hills-mixed terrain-intervals-speed-mountain climb. I played my special mix (see blip Wednesday 28th November 2012) and adjusted the speed and incline to try and mimic the bike. Struggled a bit mimicking a seated power-climb, went for low speed and big incline although not so sure I should have kept the speed the same and pushed up the incline. Will experiment further.
It was amazing to be the first person to be out and about this morning. Ceilidh dog and I had a ball in the snow. Dogs are strange creatures, she likes nothing more than getting snow kicked in her face while she tries to eat it. Had a bit of fun tossing snow balls. Wished I could have been home to see Holly's face when she woke up to the snow. She would have been super excited.
