ChristmaSki Day 1

After a very early morning and a slight delay with Easy Jet, my family and I arrived in Geneva at 11.30 and had a transfer waiting to take us to our very beautiful chalet in Chamonix.

There was always a niggling doubt in my mind that it might not be there or was a scam but as soon as we arrived and met the chalet owner who lives down stairs, my fears dissappeared.

The chalet was better than I was expecting. It is just stunning (and so it should be at £700 a night!!!) and the children all quickly chose their rooms and started unpacking before we headed into town to pick up some provisions and pick up our ski's!

Then the snow began to fall!!!! And my did it fall!!!! The snow flakes were the biggest I have ever seen and the timing could not have been more perfect!!

Then back to the chalet for our first meal with our chef I found and oh my god....... it was divine!!!

After dinner the kids went in the hot tub while I tried to get the TV working and connect to the internet with little success!!!

Sadly Mr W was still suffering from man flu which put a bit of a dampner on the evening, especially for him but we all fell into bed, totally shattered but looking forward to our 10 day adventure!!!
