Diary of an Edinburgher

Play with me!

Bike. Though I was severely hampered by you-know-who. He was so persistent - he kept bringing me a toy, or standing on my foot while I tried to pedal, or standing just where the pedals came round. Impossible. I gave up after half an hour.

Isobel came to collect him, and they went up Carlton Hill again. She's off home (to London) now, having had her last exam - identifying bones and muscles and bits of anatomy. Real ones. EeeeK!

JR went into town, to her favourite shop. She kept sending me photos of red ovens and Smeg fridges, neither of which we need.

In the afternoon Archie and I walked round to Janet's to help assemble a new coffee table. I'm quite good at making sense of IKEA diagrams. I once assembled a three door wardrobe, with no wee bits left over!

However, this wee table took rather a long time, mainly because I didn’t read the whole instructions first, but just plunged in. Actually, a vital bit got 'lost', so it's a wee bit wobbly. Hopefully, the vital bit turns up and I’ll have another go at tightening it, but meanwhile it can support a mug of tea. Which is its main purpose.
