Salón de Embajadores--Alhambra

This is in the "Hall of Ambassadors" in the Alhambra in Granada. It's part of the Nasrid Palace (Palacios Nazaríes)--much the most richly and elaborately decorated part of the huge complex. It is definitely best viewed large

There were at least dozen other blips that would ordinarily have been easy choices, but the Alhambra is not an ordinary experience. I chose this image to convey the utter subtlety and delicacy of the decorations. It's merged from two horizontal images (using the collage option in Photoshops photomerge function.)

The Alhambra is on a large hill over looking Granada. We were fortunate to have a mostly sunny day; there are spectacular views of all parts of of the city from various view points.
