Ampleforth Abbey

Spent the morning in wonderful sunshine in Ampleforth. Wandered round the visitor centre and answered questions about the history of Ampleforth on a computer aimed at children. Only got 4 out of 10 correct! My only consolation is that children would have had lessons before their visit and I hadn't had any! They were multiple choice questions and even my guesses were wrong!
The students who go there are very privileged to have such beautiful surroundings.
I did find it odd, however, to see elderly monks riding around on motorised buggies!
