Clifford's Tower York

Had a wander round York and thought this would make a good blip. In the 18th century 120 jews were burned to death in this tower. There is now a memorial plaque outside the ruin.
Opposite we watched the workmen frantically stacking sand bags and pumping water away from the road. York has really suffered with the floods.
Yesterday I travelled by coach as I didn't need my car whilst staying with my sister and her husband and it stopped outside the railway station where I was being met. It was utter chaos as lots of trains had been cancelled because of the floods and replacemnt buses were queing to take the passengers from the trains.
