A winning rugby match
Another grey day - such bleh weather at the moment! Gavin and I had some chores to do in the village, and it was good to see the monthly farmer's market was on. Gavin cannot resist buying fudge there - they have amazing favours, even gin and lime! We then went for a coffee at our favourite cafe and were so disappointed to find it is under new ownership and they have changed their bakers, so no more utterly irresistible gluten free carrot cake. We did tell them what a mistake that was...
Thomas' rugby match was at a school in London and the traffic was so bad we got there a bit late. Their opposition is the toughest one of the season and despite the biased ref, aggressive parents, and even more aggressive team, we won by 15-7. The boys were jubilant at the end of that match as it was a really tough one, they gave it their all and came off the pitch with smiling faces and bloody noses. Their coach was delighted with them as even he found the boys and parents just too aggressive and wanted our boys to win. I took so many photos today, I did not know which one to blip so have added some extras. The light was so dull and poor, by the end of the match we were peering through the gloomy light to see what was going on. I had to crank up the ISO's to get any decent photos.
Then home again through the London traffic. Thankfully I had cooked a lamb curry this morning so it was a easy to just make the rice and sambals and we could eat soon after getting home as everyone was hungry. A lazy night home for all of us tonight.
