The Skip Collection
Today passed in a complete blur! I just about managed to run out to The Fat Sandwich at lunchtime. It's about a minute walk from the office so a quick trip for a ham and red onion sandwich and pickled onion flavour Monster Munch was manageable. What the hell possessed me to get pickled onion flavour Monster Munch? I ate them anyway and was very conscious of the fact that my head had turned into a gigantic onion by the time I left work running late for a haircut.
I made it and nearly went to sleep while I was being done. I came out looking as if I hadn't been to the hairdresser as usual and fought my way onto a bus so packed I couldn't see Brad Pitt smiling at me from John Lewis today! I had to fight my way off the bus too and it was only when I finally got in the house, I realised I hadn't taken a picture.
I was almost pleased when the doorbell rang and it was Callum from next door (again) with post for me. I clearly have a new, thick post man who can't tell one number from another. I must have words!
What was it today? Another card perhaps? No such luck as it was one of those dratted Barclay card adverts trying to persuade me to apply for my 'guaranteed card'. Oh I have already filled the postage paid reply envelope with other rubbish leaflets and takeaway menus! I will post it back to Barclays tomorrow!
Anyway, when I went upstairs to change, a lorry pulled onto the drive a couple of doors down to collect a skip. There endeth the excitement for today.
Track? Not really appropriate but it's a good working track. I saw Alvin Lee's Ten Years After about a million years ago...
