Oh Little Town of Wanaka
This is it. Well it is what you can see from the West side of the Mount Iron Track which we were on the way down after we had been on the way up earlier. ER... Yes that's it.
We had a special trip up this morning "Cos The Boss is in the Christmas Card mode and following the grrreat discussion on this journal some days ago and a high level meeting with all the parties involved (That's Me Her and Him) we are going for part electronic and part print this year. The cards will be the same and feature ME and a very famous American and I am told that a print version may appear at some time on Blip after being photographed beforehand. (perhaps) (on request) (Just ask...OK) The theme is very traditional and always follows family travels so bear this in mind if you are confused.
Where was I...Oh up Mt Iron. Yes well My Friend Peter had left before we phoned this morning...It is really good to see such enthusiasm in senior folk, so The Boss and I tried to catch up but with 30 minutes between us it was never going to happen so when we got to the top there was not a dog handler in sight. The Boss decided to sit for a while and wait for a "volunteer" to arrive but after 20 minutes of that I was getting bored so The Boss decided to do a self managed shoot which worked out great between my perfect sitting on a big seating thing and him making all sorts of stupid noises to get me to move my head. Then we walked down (see note above) and the iPhone got pressed into service. The Boss then spend the rest of the day in his darkroom Er... Lightroom and the Bossess (who suggested the design) was delighted.
Oh and The Boss got the really hard bit done too. There is a POEM. I bet you had guessed that?
Right then.
The Pana. The retail centre of our town is left hand bottom of the lake and we live on the far side of the lake again leftish. Of course there are extra bits that you can't see but you get the idea I hope. It is not a big place. As you can see the snow is going but it is not unknown to get another dump even this late in the year sometimes. Currently 20c outside and very still...Sorry, all you UK folk.
Oh and you are all wonderful...and I would love to greet you all in person. ( some already have a booking for this) The lovely things you said yesterday with the stars and hearts just make me soooo proud to know you all.
Woof?
