Diary of an Edinburgher

A lost frisbee and a floppy dog

Gym this morning was a real struggle. I very nearly didn’t do the cross trainer, it was such hard going. But I made it, only by doing it in 5 minute blocks, with rests to wipe my sweaty brow and gulp water. On the bike I can keep going for the whole 20 minutes.

Jordan took Archie out for a big walk. (Photo by Jordan). He was also keeping an eye out for waxwings, but didn’t see any, though he has seen them before in the Meadows.

When they came back, Jordan came in the door apologising profusely... What on earth could have happened? He'd only thrown the frisbee with too much gusto, and it had flown over into the allotments. The fence was too barby and nettley for him to climb over, much to Archie's disappointment. No worries, Jordan - Archie has forgiven you, and he has about six more of them anyway!

In the afternoon, Bailey and her mum popped in and we had lunch - the dogs went crazy chasing each other round and round, scattering rugs, before settling down to just mooching around under the table, hoping that somebody would drop some food. No chance.

Bailey took over Archie's bit of the sofa, so he sat on my knee, but kind of slipped down, and did his floppy dog act. (Extra)
