Weathery (Day 1270)

The north wind persists, and it was cold on the morning woofer wander.
A phone call yesterday informed us that the internal wall insulation in our house which was supposed to be done months ago, will be started on Monday morning. We were supposed to get a couple of weeks notice, but the company haven't managed that.
With their arrival imminent (we think) I have spent the day making a few alterations to our heating system so that I can remove radiators quickly without draining the entire system and having to work around other people.
It has been a busy day, but I took a break to take the dogs along to Wasdale. We were caught in a couple of very heavy showers and some rather unpleasant hailstones too. In a drier moment I managed a quick snap over the loch towards the Hoy Hills in the distance.
One high point of the day was receiving a reply to a message I sent to someone who I had lost touch with years ago. I am really pleased to have heard from him after so long. George, if you are reading this, stay in touch ;)
The best bit of the day was getting my beautiful wife back from her 25 hour work shift.
