Been listening to some of the old Blue Break Beats compilations the last couple of days, basically all the original jazz/soul/funk tracks that have been sampled by your hip hop artists over the years. It's handy to know what comes from where. I'm constantly* being stopped by people coming up to me in the street wanting to know what that sample is in A Tribe Called Quest's classic 'Electric Relaxation' track. And I always give them the same answer, it's from this tune right here.


* I exaggerate for comic effect of course. It's hardly constantly, more like just two or three times a week. Tops.
