This is exciting!

New toy!

The time has finally come to get a big sensor, I'm not going to say 'full frame' because that's meaningless, well it seems it to me. What's fuller than full frame? Medium format? How can medium be bigger than full? I digress and I'm sure loads of folks will tell me otherwise.

The main reason, apart from having a new camera does not need a reason, is that I wanted to be able to play with some of my old lenses that have been sat languishing in a drawer for ages, principally the one you can see in the extra photo. I'm really looking forward to hunting out some old lenses to have a play with too. Charity shops here I come, mainly because this thing has left me broke! 

Oh, and the lens on it was bought so that I had something native to take away on hols and wander around with. I'm not a big zoom fan but for the times when you want convenience this will do just fine. I took a risk on the salesman's advice as I was looking at the Sony equivalents but I have to say he was spot on and this Tamron is pretty damn fine.
