Entering the world of professional photography..

Well, I'm 228 blips in, and taking a photo every day has certainly improved my photography both creatively and technically. I've been getting lots of encouragement too from friends and family so decided to print some calendars (entitled "Strange Light") and sell them at a craft fair that my better half was displaying her wares at today (Play Alloa Christmas Fayre - we raised £780!!).

I though my stuff would be a bit avant-garde for most tastes, and it probably is, but from a print-run of 9, I sold 8! I printed 9 because that was the only quantity that Vistaprint offered free 7-day postage. All-in they cost me £3 each to buy and I sold them for a fiver each, so not a big earner, but I made £16 from my hobby today ... it's a start!

Vistaprint refunded me because they hadn't arrived yesterday (4 days late), but they got delivered at 7pm last night. So, if I was dishonest, I'd make £40 from selling them, but once I've blipped I'll be dropping them an email to thank them for such good customer service and paying my £28 again.. After all, they did also supply me with a Skinny Bastard T-shirt for nothing as well on top of the calendars - must say their loss-leaders are worth taking advantage of!
