Night Birds

I've often wondered whether the bats escape their frame at night for a fly about, so tonight I set my camera up on a tripod timed to go off at 5 minute intervals after I turned the lights off and .. right enough, they do.

Seriously though - I've discovered light stencils. Spent some of the afternoon cannibalising a disposable roasting tin and some cheap vinyl floor tiles to get my first stencil. Mark 1 is a bit awkward to use and I need to soften the flash, but happy with my first attempt. Back to the drawing board later in the week!
