It was going to be a shot of Erin today, but she wasn't for posing. Corrie had to be persuaded to stand still for a second for this shot as well. I put an old film camera kit lens on my K5 - first time I've tried it. In the sharpness stakes it's pants, but I like the way it renders the grainy out of focus background .. strangely filmic.

I photographed this tree graffiti a few years ago and posted it up on Flickr. For whatever reason, it's my most viewed picture by some distance, closely followed by a pinhole photo of spring blossoms, one of my first blips and still getting loads of views every day. The tree graffiti shot must have been shared on pinterest or something is all I can think, because it's not great.

I took the plunge tonight and subscribed to the Adobe Creative Cloud. I suppose I have been evaluating their software for a wee while now and I do quite like it, and they have dropped the price to something that's kind of affordable (£8.78/month). This is my first fully paid up edit, which is a bit ironic given the title of the piece, but don't tell anyone ... I've got a reputation to maintain ;-)
