Autumn Selfie

Today was glorious! We went walkies along the canal where the small ice cream hut is. It’s one of our favourite walks! It was sunny and warm, but some of the morning fog still hadn’t lifted. The autumn leaves were beautiful, every nuance of green and yellow and red. And - they had basically drained the canal! We’ve never seen that before. Probably because they are going to do some work on the lock gates this winter.

The hut was closed for the season, but there were still a couple of boats in the small marina, ready for an last impromptu outing. Wouldn’t it be exciting to have a boat? Mum says it’s not going to happen.

And when we got back there was a postcard from Elli and chrissel in Germany in the mailbox! Yay! Thank you so much! Extras from the locks and the postcard.
