Mother’s Little Helper

Mum went bananas today! She decided that it was a good day for both baking and cooking. If you can believe that.

She started with an apple cake with apples from the summer house. And marzipan. I stayed close to her in case she would drop pieces that needed to be cleaned up. She did. And when she was done, I helped by licking the bowl. It was sparkling clean when I was done with it.

In the afternoon, we made a special Italian Bolognese with ingredients that mum got for her birthday. It was supposed to have chicken liver in it, but we didn’t have any which was a shame. The end result was still pretty awesome I must say. It was on the stove for the better part of the afternoon. I got plenty, with the onion pieces removed.

I think we should bake and do real cooking more often. I’ll help!
