Nosework

Finally it was the day when our autumn class started. Yay! We've tried a lot of different dog sports - freestyle, agility, obedience and rally obedience - but now it was time for something new. Nosework! Exciting!

We headed out to the dog club and went forest walkies, which was all good, but then mum left me in the car because there was going to be an theoretic introduction. Without dogs. What? Why would they want to do that? It was Pitch Black! And she was gone for Ages. I do hope it wasn't only the first time.

Then they divided the group. The big dogs went to one building and the small dogs to another. We started with really easy peasy stuff: finding treats in pizza cartons, showing we know how a clicker works and choosing the tea strainer with a treat in it, having only two to choose from.

We also got a huge bag with things we will need for our training. Eight pizza cartons! I wish they had had pizza in them at some point. The most important thing was the eucalyptus hydrolate, the first scent that we will learn to find. A promising start!
