Lines of Linnets

I had two outings today. Went to one of my favourite fungi sites - a local cemetery - feeling confident that there would be lots of Waxcaps and other grassland species, as there usually are at this time of year, but sadly, apart from a few woodland species at the top end, adjacent to some trees there was nothing. I've put a photo of some Lactarius (Milkcaps) in extras. This evening, I repeated yesterday's walk. The flock of Linnets was in the same spot, and looked very fine by the light of the setting sun.
