Of Rowans and Rooks
We had a walk round the lanes near home this afternoon. We'd hoped we might see some winter visitors, as there are some Rowan trees nearby that have proved very popular with Winter Thrushes and Bramblings in the past. None around today but I did see a couple of Mistle Thrushes and a sizeable flock of Linnets. The easiest avian subject to photograph, however, was one of the many corvids that feed in the horse fields - in this case a very intelligent-looking Rook.
