Sweet pumpkin pie

Happy Thanksgiving to all you Americans. Cambridge is a good place to be over Thanksgiving as there are lots of Americans milling about and someone generally seems to be hosting a gathering.

I resolve to be in the US at some point during Thanksgiving season, and I will walk up to a nice rural homestead where I can smell pumpkin pies baking across the veranda. I will knock on the door and a kindly family will invite me in and feed me mashed potato, turkey and pie until I can't move.

This was the first pumpkin pie I've had, and as you may have gathered, it's given me a taste for more.

I am exceedingly thankful to all my friends this week - they have been incredible.
