Dragging it out

My 30th was two weeks ago but it's taken until today to organise an outing to eat chips at lunchtime. 28 colleagues turned up and the office was described as the Marie Celeste by one of the remaining few. I was chuffed!

Onto more serious matters, I baked my first batch of scones tonight. How do you stop them turning out dry? I followed Mary Berry's advice about covering them with a tea towel as they dried, but she's still let me down.
