But the pavement always stayed beneath my feet
What a joy it is to walk down the street with Boy.
It's really funny, it never changes; we haven't been together for 2 years but everything slips back into normal within 10 minutes. He's altogether lovely and infuriating all at once. He has voices - Christopher Walken this weekend, But i think we wore him out of it.
The pair of them were heading back today - Charlotte and Wilmington via Greenboro. The flood waters were still receeding so we wanted them to leave sharp so as not to get caught up in anything.
This was us in the morning, weary after a day of beer... where did we go? Weird Weed for Brunch. Falafel Sandwich, Yep. Falafel in a Pitta with Rocket (they don't call it that), with feta. It was LUSH. And three cups of coffee and three glasses of water.
Then we bimbled the shops. Si And I love bimbling round shops - we rarely buy anything.. Do we really need it? But it's interesting to see the weird things for sale. More Book shops and galleries, Lovely.
the Kids headed off about 3 and we continued our rounds of the art galleries.
We eventually walked back... yep. we walked all the way back. Sat for a couple of hours examining the Smart TV complete with Tablet.
Then we walked back in; and headed to Topelo Honey for dinner - that place of the massive breakfast. We sat at the bar - tables were an hour wait; and sat mesmerised by the speed of the bar maid, who was not only fulfillling all the bar tabs, but all the people seated at the bar.
It was astonishing. As was the blackened cat fish!.
Then we walked back again to the house - it was a bit spooky - they aren't too keen on street lights in this place - but we did get to see the Ground Hogs three times - see extra!
We did sleep very well tonight.
