Bull Elk

Woke to snow!

Started the day at Cascade Ponds near Lake Minnewanka, which was gloriously calm for a while. Whilst there we were lucky enough to see this amazing Bull Elk. Made my carting my 200-500mm all the way to Canada so worthwhile. 

Spent some time at the old ghost town of Bankshead, then carried on to Hillsdale meadow, where we caused utter chaos with cars stopping to see if we were photographing bears - they were so disappointed when we said "just landscapes!" ;-)

Ended the day at Backswamp -  over the Bow River.
