Just a Lovely Day

A beautiful day - we had a really nice leisurely walk around one of our many local reservoirs. I saw a couple of fresh fungi - the first ones this season. A handful of bird food in a sunny spot brought in lots of small birds - Robins, Blue, Coal and (this one) Great Tits, Chaffinches, and a Nuthatch. Plenty of butterflies too, mainly Speckled Woods and Whites and one Small Tortoiseshell. No sign of the local Bank Voles. I wonder if the hot dry Summer may have forced them to re-locate.
