Men at work

When we returned from a jaunt up to the farmers market this morning we saw that there was something going on on the Bernard Street bridge. The cherry picker was in a non-cherry-picking position and the man closest to the bridge appeared to be sawing through the metal framework supporting the light, with a little hand saw. The chap standing guard who is staring towards the camera gave me a cheery smile but only after I'd pressed the shutter.

I recalled that Trev had taken a night shot of the bridge recently and now I see that the lights weren't illuminated then. (They may have been off for months !) Perhaps the cooncil has a cunning plan......
