Treasured

A busy few days sorting things out after our visitors at the weekend, working and trying to keep on top of the garden and allotment. I feel I am failing at the latter as now we have had some rain, the grass and weeds have been growing at great speed. Any how, an attempt has been made and I have done my best. A slightly curious thing seems to be a fox digging at the base of my fruit bushes.

I found this wooden bowl and spurtle (a utensil for stirring) in the cupboard. I bought them about 15 years ago from the wood turner who made them in his studio on the shores of Loch Ness. I love the smooth texture of the wood and to eat my porridge and museli from the bowl. The bowl is made from sycamore and the spurtle from birch.
