Work and Play

A day working from home. It was peaceful and just what I needed to concentrate and get things done. We had a most welcome shower of rain this morning, followed by sunshine. I managed a quick trip to the allotment to do a little more tidying and pick another punnet of blackberries. The bramble hedge there is south facing and the berries are nearly finished.

Whilst I worked Andy took Merlin on an adventure up Harting Down - one of the local hills in the South Downs. Apparently the views are wonderful so I shall have to go (I have been meaning to do so for months). They had a fantastic time and Merlin was thrilled to be there and tired on returning home (the main purpose of going!). My sister and her family, have on the other hand, been visiting a donkey sanctuary in Devon. They had a lovely time and apparently they think my brother-in-law has donkey whispering abilities! This came as a surprise to us all as he is not known for being fond of animals. Hidden talents!
