The power of nature

This is the view from the main staircase at work. It is in an an old lodge building and over looks lawns and gardens with mature and unusual trees. I love these windows - that they not only look beautiful but reflect the care and skill that their creators and the owner of the lodge must have had in deciding to make and use them.

The lodge was a private residence for much of its life but then used as a hospital during the Second World War. For those well enough to see and visit the grounds, it surely must have been a nurturing environment to help their wounds begin to heal. I know I certainly benefit from working in such a peaceful and beautiful natural environment.
