We missed the best blip. Whilst we were up the hill in the alpine house they cut down the large trunk in this picture. It would have been good to have caught it as it fell. Thats life.

My extra is just a small tortoiseshell. We have not had many in the garden this year and I wanted to get it on the record.

As for yesterday’s spiders web. It seems likely that orb spiders make the radial threads thicker and that makes it harder for small water blobs to cling to them. Unless you know differently of course.
