First day in Berlin, Kaiser Wilhelm Church, Bikini Berlin, Alexanderplatz, Potsdamer Platz .... quite a day. There have been striking contrasts & delightful surprises. Today’s picture is of the interior of Kaiser Wilhelm church. It is composed of the ruins of the church that was destroyed in the war & is a memorial for peace and reconciliation. It commemorates Berliners’ determination to rebuild after the war, and is a place of contemplation.
