Diary of an Edinburgher

A shock, and visitors

We popped down to the bathroom shop this morning to look at fittings and the computer drawings. Looks good. But for such a small room, it packs in a LOT of cost!! Still, we'll only do it once. And in our last flat, we got a plastic sink unit, which looked good, but sounded, well - plastic. We always regretted not buying the proper stuff.

Came away in a state of mild shock (well I did, not having a clue about costs of bathroom fittings) but we popped in to the Cairngorm Coffee Company for a reviving coffee. And cake. Dog friendly too.

A lovely sunny day, but you'd get caught out in the shade if you’d gone out without a cardi - a very cool breeeze!

In the afternoon our Jersey pals popped in for a coffee, cake (actually, Anzac biccies, a Kiwi staple) and chinwag. They're very excited because they're going to the Tattoo tonight. And it looks like they'll be in luck with a dry evening.

Bags are being packed. Archie is off on his holidays to Rufus's house again. It's JR's significant birthday at the weekend, so a wee B&B and nice lunch has been secretly planned. Only she'll read this... but it's too late now.

Extra: Anne saying cheerio to Archie.
