Elia Viviani

Day 2 at the track cycling in Glasgow and what a great day. 2 sessions afternoon and evening and 2 more medals for Team GB - Gold and Silver. 
My shots of Ethan Hayter, our 19-year old gold medallist in the omnium, were not so good, but I have put one in extras because he was absolutely fantastic, moving from 5th to 1st in the final points race. 4 bunch races in one day is very tough, but he was an absolute superstar in the last one. Elia Viviani from Italy is the Olympic Champion in this discipline and rather like Michael Johnson and his golden running shoes, he had a VERY shiny gold bike!  He ended up finishing third this time, but then he has just come back from doing 3 weeks of the tour de France and a gold medal in the team pursuit yesterday. 

Last session tomorrow morning for us, then we're heading home again :(
