Go Laura, go!

Our final session in the velodrome and another exciting morning! 
Both our men, Philip Hinds and Jack Carlin, qualified for the next stage of the individual sprints in the cat and mouse heats which was exciting enough, but Laura Kenny just outclassed the rest of the field in the elimination race and came away with her second gold of the championships. 
If you have never watched one of these types of races, you've been missing a treat - there is a sprint every 2 laps and each time the last person over the line is eliminated. So it gives you lots of chance to scream for your favourite, and the roar in the velodrome when Laura was either in the lead or at the back was enormous! 
My main shot shows Laura in the thick of it more than half way through (don't look too closely, the quality in pretty rubbish!) and the extra is Laura being congratulated by the silver medallist, Anna Knauer from Germany. 
As ever, she smashed it and won easily, so another successful session for us. There's nothing more satisfying than your team winning when you go to see an event :) 

A 4.5 hour journey home and now just enough time to prepare for my trip back to Sweden again tomorrow morning - it's all go....!!!
