A golden start

Travelled up to Glasgow to watch the track cycling at the new Multi-event European Championships. 
Hotel is OK, but the internet in the room is non-existent and the TV does not get BBC, which is a real nuisance as this is where the sport is showing! Four complaints and 18 hours later and they finally sent someone to fix it....not so impressed. 

But the cycling was fab. First session on Friday evening - I'd forgotten how hot it was in the velodrome! 
Bronze for the men's team pursuit team and GOLD for the ladies - they smashed it!  Laura Kenny, Katie Archibald, Elinor Barker and Neah Evans were our unbeatable team. 
Here they are getting ready with the flag for the paparazzi down on the track. We were not able to get the head on shot as they were facing the wrong way - typical!

Need to look at my settings for tomorrow as most of my shots were not so good.....but we had a great time.
