The Palace of a Modern Magician
Cragside, a fascinating house in the Northumberland moors, the first in the world to have electricity powered by water, and many other stunning features including William Morris wallpapers and stained glass. Built by the Newcastle engineer and industrialist William Armstrong in the 1870s. Nearly 1000 acres of parkland with a 6 mile carriage drive . Great day out.
