Breakfast at the Pier

We had breakfast at the Pier cafe on the Beach Boulevard. There is no actual pier of course, but there is a funfair next to the restaurant. I took this picture from the emergency exit of the cafe.

The sky was a featureless grey, and it was raining as I took the photgraph. In view of the weather I feel justified in having replaced the featureless sky with something more interesting.

After breakfast we adjourned to Duthie park. The winter garden is looking very good just now. We thought we would take a look at the rose gardens at Hazlehead park, but gave up on that idea due to the rain.

In the evening we went to the local hostelry to meet up with a friend whose birthday it was. The evening was brought to a rather swift end when one of the staff dropped a full pint of lager on us. Time to leave to get changed.
