I count my blessings
to work with amazing people.
I also keep my keys close to me at all times and make sure that my chairs don't go walks. But that's an altogether different story.
Achievements Evening tonight so home at 9.30pm, after stopping at Asda to get post-it notes and plastic wallets, as apparently part of my day at university tomorrow is going to involve being shown how to create a professional development portfolio. i reserve judgement, but after doing the Headship qualification 4 years ago, I think I know how to do a PDP. But, I am sure the day will be valuable and I will leave uni feeling enlightened and able to make a start on my first assignment.
It was nice to see our former students this evening. It was amazing to see one of our students perform in front of an audience - so much talent, but it has taken a lot of coaching by colleagues to get her there. She was, along with her friends, amazing and I have no doubt that other staff made a point, as I did, of telling her how proud we are of her.
It was good to spend some time socially with colleagues before and after. Even though I am trapped in this inward looking bubble at the moment and sometimes feel like I am not coping, I know that there are so many around me who will catch me if I fall.
I guess that's the fundamental principle of what we do and especially where I work. Someone will always be there to pick you up and put you on the right track, whether you are an adult or a child. That's what's good. The other stuff is really white noise.
Am going to get to bed as I am hurting like hell.
