Bread at Cranston’s, Penrith

Packed up and on the road by 10.00am, calling in at Booths in Windermere for Hawkshead beer and cake and Asda in Kendal for fuel and finally at Cranston’s in Penrith for lunch.

Finally on the road to Edinburgh at around 1.30pm. Good journey passing along a section of the A70 where the temperature was -9.5c last December and was now +26c today.

A superb week in the Lakes, a few days in Edinburgh for a Ruby Wedding anniversary over the weekend.

Today’s blip is of the selection of artisan breads for sale at Cranston’s. Some interesting loaves which I’ll have to have a go at making.

Thank you for all your comments over the past week or so.
