Camouflage

It really felt like we were on holiday today.  Nothing pressing to be done at all.  This afternoon we retired to my hut with tea and cake, Mike and Ollie in the shade, me sitting in the sun.  Mike with the crossword, me with my knitting, helping with the crossword and watching the garden and the sheets drying on the line.  Perfect, I decided heaven would probably be like this!

The three of us went for a walk up the hill when it got a bit cooler, and I spied what I thought was a short eared owl on the fence in the distance.  We have a lot of them around here and see them often.  When I zoomed in I could see it was a long eared one, which I have never seen before.  What a great end to a great day!
